Detroit Customer Door Cashier (Part-Time)

Great Lakes Wine and Spirits is a growing statewide company seeking a Detroit Customer Door Cashier (Part-Time) to work the Day Shift at our Detroit Warehouse.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Customer Door Cashier is an office based clerical role responsible for the timely processing of daily orders that are picked up from our warehouse location throughout the week. This includes the use of a computer and ability to learn and operate proprietary software. This position will be working alongside another like-level employee who will ensure proper training on policy and procedure. The Customer Door applicant must demonstrate a professional demeanor, dressing and grooming in a professional manner, ability to interact with several co-workers and customers through a cash office window while working the shift. The list of duties that this individual will be responsible for are listed below, but are not limited to:

- Daily cash handling and balancing

- Proper distribution of a large volume of paperwork, as well as printing of paperwork, sorting, filing, and etc.

- Demonstrate initiative to improve their abilities to the point of covering this position solo within three months of hire date

- Will be expected to work additional days as needed for PTO and vacation coverage in the department

Pay

Rate: $16.50

Work Schedule

- Schedule – 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays – may change as business needs change

- Hours - 6:00am to 2:30pm – may change as business needs change

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The Cashier operates in a warehouse office environment sitting at a desk using standard office equipment. The employee may be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration where the noise level can be loud.

Required Qualifications

- At least 18 years of age

- Basic Computer, Math, and Presentation Skills

- Experience with Microsoft Excel and one year of cash-handling experience (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

- Pass pre-employment screenings including a full Background Check, 10-Panel Drug Test, and Physical Evaluation

- Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.

- Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.

- Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.

- Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.

- Maintain a safe driving record.
