Systems & Network Administrator

Job Purpose:
- The Systems & Network Administrator at MOMENTUM USA INC is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves overseeing network operations, server management, and providing technical support to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Administer and maintain servers, including installation, configuration, and updates of operating systems and applications.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Conduct regular system backups and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with IT team members to plan and execute network and system upgrades and expansions.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and system changes for reference and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in IT infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to IT operations and data security.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems and network administration.
- Proven experience with configuring and managing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and task management.
- Ability to implement and manage security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in relevant areas such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or CompTIA Network+ is a plus.
