Responsibilities:

 JOB SUMMARY
The IT Quality Assurance Analyst II (QAA2) will be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance and testing throughout the software development lifecycle, utilizing mostly manual testing processes. This involves continual development and implementation of rigorous testing strategies, methodologies, templates, and procedures to evaluate the functionality and quality of the enterprise software platform and vendor products.
The QAA2 will use a variety of testing frameworks including both manual and automated testing tools. This is a hands-on role primarily responsible for the development of test scripts, execution of test plans, and the tracking and management of software defects. As a seasoned QA analyst, the QAA2 will operate independently and successfully with little oversight/coaching. The QAA2 is tasked with mentoring/coaching QAA1s.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs solution and software testing using scripts developed from technical and functional requirements.
Develop scope-appropriate test plans. Develop and execute test scripts for all levels of functional and system/technical testing including unit, integration, system, sanity, smoke, interface, regression, performance, load, security, etc. Verify fulfillment of technical and workflow requirements. Identify defects and analyze failure/success of scripts. Identify opportunities for increased quality and efficiency in software solutions.
Provide timely feedback to analysts, technical team, and project management. Aid in the coordination of User Acceptance Testing and work with project managers, business analysts, and developers to perform testing efforts.

- Supports the development and implementation of best practice testing frameworks, methodologies, processes, templates, and tools.

- Evaluates and develops process improvements for ad-hoc, planned, and routine internal processes.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Associates in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Required
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Preferred

EXPERIENCE
- 4 years Quality Assurance or testing experience in a technical role using manual and automated processes Required
- 6 years Quality Assurance or testing experience in a technical role using manual and automated processes Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Certification(s) in relevant Information Technology processes such as: ITIL, ISO 9000, SQA, SQL Testing, Security, Six Sigma, and healthcare applications. Preferred
