Purdy Hyundai is looking for self-motivated individuals who would like to start as a Mobile Service Technician. The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for providing professional automotive maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services at customer locations and other approved off-site locations. This position requires an experienced technician capable of independently performing a broad range of services, from routine maintenance and light repair to vehicle diagnosis and more complex mechanical repairs.

Job Description:
Mobile Service & Vehicle Repair
- Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services at customer locations and other approved mobile service locations.
- Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform appropriate repairs with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations and balancing, fluid services, and other manufacturer-recommended maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle system concerns within the capabilities of the mobile service operation.
- Inspect vehicles to identify additional safety, maintenance, or repair needs and communicate findings appropriately.
- Install approved accessories and optional equipment when assigned.
- Perform road tests when necessary to diagnose vehicle concerns or verify completed repairs.
- Determine when a repair cannot safely or appropriately be completed through mobile service and coordinate with the Service Department for additional diagnosis or dealership-based repair.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure necessary parts, tools, and supplies are available for scheduled mobile service appointments.
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide a professional and positive customer experience while performing services at customer homes, businesses, and other approved locations.
- Clearly communicate service findings, repair needs, and service status to the appropriate Service Advisor and dealership personnel.
- Notify the Service Advisor promptly when additional work is identified, scheduled work is unnecessary, or repairs cannot be completed within the expected timeframe.
- Protect customer vehicles and property while performing mobile services.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with dealership expectations while representing the Company in the field.
Documentation & Quality
- Accurately document all inspections, diagnostic findings, services performed, and recommended repairs on the repair order.
- Verify completed repairs appropriately address documented customer concerns.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer procedures for warranty repairs, including proper handling and tagging of warranty parts.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and other documentation required by the dealership or manufacturer.
- Follow applicable manufacturer technical bulletins, repair procedures, and service information.
Mobile Unit, Tools & Equipment
- Maintain the mobile service vehicle in a clean, organized, safe, and professional condition.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, equipment, parts, fluids, and supplies necessary to perform scheduled services.
- Properly use, maintain, and account for dealership-owned tools, equipment, manuals, and other property.
- Conduct routine inspections of the mobile service vehicle and equipment and promptly report maintenance needs, defects, or malfunctions.
- Ensure tools, equipment, parts, fluids, and waste materials are properly secured during transportation.
- Maintain an organized work area at customer locations and leave the service area clean upon completion of work.
Safety & Compliance
- Perform all work in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards and applicable safety requirements.
- Evaluate mobile work locations before beginning service and identify conditions that could prevent work from being performed safely.
- Operate all tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and only for their intended purposes.
- Follow applicable federal, state, and local requirements regarding hazardous materials, hazardous waste disposal, and workplace safety.
- Immediately report accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to management.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures while working independently in the field.
Training & Development
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and other required development opportunities.
- Maintain required manufacturer certifications and technical qualifications.
- Remain current on manufacturer technical bulletins, service procedures, vehicle technology, and repair requirements.
- Maintain the technical knowledge necessary to independently perform the range of maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services offered through the mobile service program.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous automotive maintenance, technical training, or related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required.
