Proposal Manager

PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.

The Proposal Manager manages and coordinates the proposal process for the pursuit of professional services contracts relative to architecture, engineering, construction management, and project management services for major public projects. PGH Wong is seeking a hands-on proposal manager capable of working at all levels of the proposal process in coordination with business development and technical staff within the firm.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Draft and edit proposals

- Manage and coordinate the proposal process, including planning, reviewing, and production of statements of qualifications and proposals.

- Gather and research information to include in proposals, including resumes and project summaries.

- Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity.

- Provide final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance, and conformance to established company strategies and plans.

- Verify complex technical solutions, strategies, and themes are easily understandable, readable, and compelling.

- Update leads resumes, project descriptions, and text libraries in the marketing database.

- Assist in the development of other marketing tools such as brochures, company website, etc.

- Engage senior technical and management staff to obtain necessary information and commitment for specific pursuits.

- Coordinate with technical staff to develop, research, track, and follow up on leads.

- Participate in strategic planning that includes evaluating marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns and key issues, and developing win strategies.

- Attend industry functions, to understand client and project requirements for the purposes of proposal development.

- Assist in the day-to-day hard and electronic file organization.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Proposal Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

- Strong organizational skills, knowledge, and experience with office procedures, systems, and protocols required.

- Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills required

- Proven ability to independently manage a challenging workload with multiple priorities/tasks and adapt to unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, engineering, etc.) is preferred, other degrees such as Communication, Journalism, and English are acceptable.

- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry.

- Advanced skills in Google Office, Microsoft Office, and file-sharing platforms such as Dropbox required

- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat are strongly preferred; other Adobe Creative Suite tools, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, are a plus.

- Strong understanding of marketing principles within the A / E / C Industry.

- Strong experience with designing marketing material preferred.

- Experience with marketing professional services and familiarity with industry terms, contracts, deliverables, and processes required.

- Previous experience with the creation, maintenance, and development of CRM databases is desired. Experience with Cosential preferred

- Ability to collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, and relevant consultants in the proposal preparation process.
