Production Coordinator - Specialty Cement Operations (Hamburg, PA)

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, we are seeking a hands-on and mechanically inclined Production Coordinator to support our Specialty Cement operation in Hamburg, Pennsylvania . This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities, operating and maintaining batching and bagging systems, supporting equipment reliability, assisting with facility maintenance, and ensuring the safe and efficient production of specialty cement products. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production quality, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as a backup resource for production leadership when needed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate and operate batching, blending, bagging, conveying, and robotic palletizing systems to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, including conveyors, baggers, blenders, blowers, dust collection systems, forklifts, and facility infrastructure.
- Monitor and adjust production controls, PLC systems, formulas, and equipment settings to maintain product quality and operational performance.
- Support inventory management of parts, maintenance supplies, and production consumables while maintaining tools, equipment, and shop organization.
- Load and unload materials, operate forklifts, complete quality control checks, and support daily production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with building and grounds maintenance, including lighting, doors, fencing, plumbing, garage doors, and general facility upkeep.
- Partner with plant leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, increased reliability, and improved production efficiency.
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial production equipment, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, and automated manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of batching, blending, conveying, bagging, PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, or similar manufacturing technologies.
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and equipment adjustments while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate a forklift, work independently, and collaborate effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and management teams.
- Experience with industrial controls, production reporting systems, PLC interfaces, or automated packaging equipment is preferred.

Work Environment
- Full-time onsite position located at our Specialty Cement facility in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to cement materials, moving equipment, conveyors, forklifts, bagging systems, and production machinery.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
- Ability to repeatedly lift materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be able to distinguish colors for quality control purposes and safely operate equipment.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements.
