The Opportunity
The Singla Lab at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando seeks a highly motivated, creative, and ambitious postdoctoral fellow to study treatment resistance and tumor-microenvironment interactions in various cancer models and associated toxicological studies.
This part of the project focuses on developing cancer models; therefore, we are looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will conduct innovative cancer research using functional studies with 3D culture models and organoids. Identify the underlying mechanisms using cell biology and molecular biology techniques. They will also be expected to perform research, write manuscripts, assist in grant proposals, and present their findings at local and national meetings. The fellow should work independently, lead project(s), troubleshoot issues, present their work, and train other lab members as part of their postdoctoral training.

Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in cancer biology/immunology/molecular biology with a strong background in cancer cell culture models (2D, 3D, and organoids), cancer mouse models such as xenotransplantation models, and basic and advanced molecular biology techniques. Candidates should possess a track record of scientific productivity, as well as excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in testing preclinical animal models, including PDX using humanized mice, syngeneic mouse models, and xenografts, is highly desired.

This position is funded by contracts and grants and is contingent upon available funding.
