About this role

About The Company

Redesign Health is a global venture and applied technology firm focused on building next-generation healthcare companies. We manage venture capital and venture buyout strategies, each powered by an AI operating system and team of leading technologists, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Our venture capital strategy backs exceptional founders at the earliest stage—often before an idea is fully formed—and provides first institutional capital and an unmatched degree of strategic leverage and domain expertise through exit. Our venture buyout strategy partners with proven management teams through control investments and delivers outsized value by rewiring core products and workflows with AI.

Since inception in 2018, Redesign and our portfolio companies have touched the lives of more than 15 million patients, raised over $1.5 billion from premier institutional, sovereign, and strategic investors, and built distinctive partnerships with marquee healthcare organizations and senior leaders around the world.

Redesign is based in New York and has offices in Bengaluru, Los Angeles, and Riyadh.

About The Role

We are seeking a Director of Community & Event Marketing to lead Redesign Health’s global events strategy and build the experiences, programs, and digital infrastructure that connect and engage our community year-round.

This role will lead the experiences and platforms that bring our community together and keep them connected. You’ll oversee global events while building a strong digital community for Redesign Health founders, investors, healthcare leaders, and partners.

A major part of the role will be developing the community experience around our venture platform, particularly for founders. That may include digital community platforms, Slack communities, webinars and virtual programming, peer groups, office hours, curated introductions, resources, and new ways for founders to access Redesign Health’s network and expertise.

The goal is not simply to manage events or a community channel. It is to build an ecosystem that makes the value of being part of Redesign Health tangible, accessible, and increasingly valuable over time.

What You’ll Do

You will lead Redesign Health’s events and community marketing function, creating both physical and digital experiences that strengthen relationships across our global network. You will think holistically about how people discover Redesign Health, participate in our community, connect with one another, access our team and resources, and remain engaged over time.

You will lead the events and experiential marketing function, overseeing all event touchpoints and ensuring every experience consistently and authentically reflects the Redesign Health brand. Through flagship summits, strategic activations, executive gatherings, and industry partnerships, you will create opportunities that deepen relationships, elevate thought leadership, and advance the company’s broader business priorities.

You will also partner with our VP of Marketing, communications team, and broader marketing function to support strategic announcements, executive visibility, content development, and integrated campaigns tied to major company initiatives.

- Own Global Events and Experiences: Own the strategy and execution of Redesign Health’s global events portfolio, including a minimum of two major international summits annually, recurring activations, founder gatherings, executive dinners, roundtables, partner programs, and locally hosted events. Ensure each experience is designed around clear audience, community, brand, and business objectives.
- Lead End-to-End Event Execution: Manage event development, including concepting, budgeting, timelines, venues, vendors, production, programming, speaker coordination, registration, travel, communications, and onsite execution. Partner closely with regional teams to ensure global consistency while adapting events to local markets, cultures, and strategic priorities.
- Build Our Digital Community Platform: Develop and own the strategy for how Redesign Health’s community connects digitally. Partner with product, technology, and internal teams to evaluate and build the right infrastructure for our community, whether through dedicated software, existing community platforms, Slack, or other tools. Define the experience, programming, content, and engagement model that makes these spaces genuinely useful rather than simply another channel to monitor.
- Create Year-Round Founder Programming: Build a consistent cadence of programming that helps founders learn from Redesign Health and one another. This may include webinars, AMAs, expert office hours, peer groups, workshops, curated introductions, founder-only conversations, and other virtual or hybrid experiences. Identify what our founders need and continually evolve programming around those needs.
- Strengthen Community Connectivity: Create mechanisms that make it easier for founders and other members of our network to find and help one another. Develop thoughtful approaches to introductions, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, mentorship, expertise discovery, and collaboration across the Redesign Health ecosystem.
- Build Strategic Event and Community Partnerships: Identify opportunities to collaborate with respected organizations, networks, investors, and healthcare institutions to extend the reach and value of Redesign Health’s community. Develop relationships across key global markets and identify opportunities for co-hosted programming, community partnerships, and regional engagement.
- Elevate Redesign Health Leaders: Partner with the PR and communications team to identify and secure speaking opportunities, conference placements, panels, awards, and other external platforms for Redesign Health leaders. Build a forward-looking calendar of opportunities and manage submissions, preparation, logistics, and amplification.
- Support Integrated Marketing: Work with the broader marketing team to support strategic announcements, content development, thought leadership, social media, event communications, and other campaigns connected to Redesign Health’s platforms and initiatives. Ensure these efforts are integrated into the company’s broader brand and communications strategy rather than operating as standalone programs.
- Build an AI-Innate Community and Events Function: Experiment with and deploy AI-native approaches to community management, matchmaking, attendee and member research, programming, content development, communications, event operations, and measurement. Explore how AI can make a global network feel more personalized, connected, and useful at scale.

What You’ll Need

- You have 8+ years of work experience, with significant experience in events, experiential marketing, field marketing, brand marketing, or a related function. You have directly owned complex, executive-level events from initial strategy through onsite delivery.
- You have planned and executed major conferences, summits, executive gatherings, or strategic activations and understand what exceptional looks like across programming, production, logistics, communications, and attendee experience.
- You have worked at either a high-growth startup, venture firm, healthcare organization, professional network, or similarly complex organization for 2+ years and understand how events can support broader brand, relationship, and business objectives.
- You have experience working with senior executives, external partners, agencies, vendors, speakers, and sponsors, and are comfortable representing an organization in high-visibility settings.
- You have experience coordinating initiatives across multiple regions, offices, or international stakeholders and are comfortable navigating different cultures, time zones, and ways of working.
- You have experience supporting global events or audiences across at least one country outside of the US.
- You are willing and able to travel regularly and attend the events you lead

Who You Are

You are a strategic events leader with a proven track record of building high-impact experiences for executive and industry audiences. You thrive at the intersection of strategic planning, relationship building, and detailed execution, and you understand that successful events must create value well beyond the room itself. You have embraced the impact of AI across your work while maintaining an exceptionally high bar for quality, hospitality, and brand experience.

- Drives Results: Persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. Has a track record of delivering complex events successfully, on time, and within budget. Anticipates challenges, maintains momentum, and consistently achieves results, even under demanding circumstances.
- Plans and Aligns: Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Establishes clear timelines, owners, budgets, and decision points. Coordinates multiple stakeholders and workstreams while maintaining visibility into risks, dependencies, and progress.
- Community Builder: Understands what makes professional communities valuable and creates the conditions for meaningful participation. Identifies what members need from Redesign Health and from one another, then translates those needs into programming, connections, content, tools, and experiences. Thinks intentionally about the entire community journey, from onboarding and discovery through participation, contribution, and long-term engagement.
- Strategic Mindset: Sees events as strategic business and brand platforms rather than standalone productions. Connects programming, audience, partnerships, executive visibility, and content to the broader goals of Redesign Health. Identifies opportunities that strengthen relationships and expand the company’s influence.
- Excellent Collaborator: Works cooperatively with others across the organization and with external parties to achieve shared objectives, embracing debate and discussion in the spirit of progress. Gains the trust and support of others. Builds partnerships and collaborates effectively with executives, partners, speakers, sponsors, agencies, and vendors.
- Attention to Detail: Maintains an exceptionally high standard across programming, production, logistics, communications, and attendee experience. Anticipates needs, catches issues early, and ensures that every element reflects the quality of the Redesign Health brand.
- AI Innateness: The ability and drive to proactively leverage AI and other emerging technology tools to create extraordinary productivity and impact within their functional area. Demonstrates visionary thinking about the future evolution of events and marketing and independently experiments with, adopts, and refines technology-driven solutions.
