Position:
We are looking to fill a Saw Operator/Painter position to join our Machine Shop team and is responsible for cutting metal for utilization in the fabrication of parts and equipment.
Job Duties:
- Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments as required to meet safety, quality and production goals.
- Lay out reference lines and machining locations on work, using layout tools and applying knowledge of shop math and layout techniques.
- Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operation. Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions or knowledge of material properties.
- Maneuver large pieces using various tools and equipment.
- Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Deburring and or parts cleaning.
- Polishing, buffing, painting or sanding of parts or materials.
Related Experience:
- Manufacturing, assembly, or machine shop experience preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read tape measures and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and blueprints.
- Strong organizational and inventory skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to work any shift as necessary.
- Willing and able to work overtime, as required.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Saw Operator: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
Hours:
M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (may be subject to change according to the needs of the business)
