Personals Department Washer

The Personals Department Washer prepares Customer Owned Goods (COG) in accordance with established standards to assure client satisfaction. They may also assist with washing items from nursing homes and hospitals, as needed. We are looking for someone who is confident in decision making, can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills.   If you are ready to make a commitment to measurable performance and continuous improvements, then we want to hear from you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Keep all personal laundry items organized by facility.
- Unload soiled items from carts into mesh laundry bags. Properly secure mesh laundry bags for the wash process.

- Complete any necessary notes or documentation throughout the washing and drying process.
- Load items into dryers.
- Load items from dryers into laundry baskets.
- Deliver laundry baskets to folding stations.
- Ensure equipment operates properly and inform management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems.
- Make certain that the area is kept clean and is well maintained.
- When not fulfilling other duties, assist at folding stations.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Replenish necessary supplies.
- Any and all duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required :

- Ability to work in a noisy fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to stand and move for entire work shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; and at times be able to use force to push/pull over 75 pounds with assistance of casters, and lift equipment provided.

Preferred :

- Previous experience working in a laundry or production environment

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Physical and mental ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay starts at $16.25 an hour
