About this role

# Job Description Summary
The Senior Strategic Solutions Director is a senior revenue execution leader responsible for converting backlog into recognized revenue across a portfolio of key strategic accounts. The role owns revenue delivery against the operating plan by identifying stalled, unscheduled, or at-risk orders; establishing project-level recovery actions; and driving the customer and internal decisions required to achieve committed revenue timing.

Operating upstream of installation execution, this leader engages health-system executives and senior clinical, operational, facilities, and capital planning stakeholders to resolve barriers that put revenue at risk. The position creates executive alignment around site readiness, construction, funding, resource, and scheduling decisions needed to move committed customer projects into execution.

The role navigates the GE HealthCare matrix and leads cross-functional teams without direct authority, bringing together Sales, Service, Finance, Commercial Operations, Project Management, supply chain, and segment leadership around a single outcome: predictable revenue execution. The Senior Strategic Solutions Director is accountable for revenue forecast accuracy, backlog conversion, recovery-plan execution, risk escalation, and delivery of committed quarterly and annual revenue.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Backlog Activation & Revenue Recovery

- Own a high-value portfolio of unscheduled, delayed, or at-risk orders and strategic initiatives across key USCAN accounts, with accountability for backlog conversion, revenue timing, risk mitigation, and executive visibility.

- Analyze customer, backlog, pipeline, financial, and operational data to prioritize intervention and establish account-specific recovery and growth plans.

- Create and execute project-level revenue recovery strategies that move viable orders into implementation, protect committed revenue, improve forecast accuracy, and accelerate revenue recognition.

Executive Customer Engagement for Revenue Execution

- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customer executives and senior clinical, financial, operational, facilities, and technology leaders.

- Lead executive-level discovery and governance discussions to understand enterprise priorities, capital plans, decision processes, funding constraints, risk, and success measures related to installing GE HealthCare equipment and solutions.

- Translate customer priorities and constraints into executable project roadmaps with clear dates, dependencies, owners, and decisions required to achieve revenue commitments.

- Serve as the senior escalation point when customer-side issues threaten project readiness, installation timing, or revenue recognition; secure executive decisions and commitments that restore the revenue plan.

GE HealthCare Matrix Leadership for Revenue Delivery

- Lead and influence cross-functional teams across GE HealthCare to align resources, sequencing, customer actions, and execution plans to quarterly and annual revenue commitments.

- Drive resolution of internal execution dependencies—including project readiness, equipment availability, installation capacity, service coordination, and revenue recognition requirements—that affect revenue timing.

- Establish project-level revenue plans with clear owners, milestones, risk indicators, and recovery actions; hold matrix partners accountable for committed dates and outputs.

- Lead weekly and monthly revenue operating rhythms, challenge forecast assumptions, quantify upside and downside, and escalate gaps early enough to enable corrective action.

- Coach account and execution teams on revenue rigor, customer commitment management, issue resolution, and accurate project-level forecasting.

Barrier Identification & Resolution

- Identify key blockers such as:

- Funding gaps (e.g., construction budget shortfalls)

- Site readiness or space planning uncertainty

- Lack of contractor or project planning resources

- Internal customer misalignment or deprioritization

- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions to overcome these barriers

Solution Development

- Provide customers with clear visibility into what they have purchased and next steps required

- Recommend practical solutions such as:

- Budgetary guidance or ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) support

- Connections to contractors, planners, or third-party resources

- Phasing or alternative deployment strategies

Revenue Governance & Execution

- Partner with Installation Project Managers and operating teams to ensure projects meet defined readiness criteria, enter active execution on schedule, and achieve planned revenue recognition dates.

- Maintain a project-level revenue forecast that clearly identifies committed revenue, timing, dependencies, risks, mitigation actions, and accountable owners.

- Lead recurring revenue reviews with senior stakeholders, communicate forecast movement and gap-to-plan, and drive timely decisions to protect quarterly and annual results.

- Act as a capacity multiplier by resolving complex upstream barriers so delivery teams can execute installations and complete revenue milestones on time.

Success Metrics

- Primary KPI: Delivery of committed quarterly and annual revenue against the operating plan.

- Revenue forecast accuracy and reduction of project-level forecast movement.

- Conversion of unscheduled, delayed, or at-risk backlog into executable projects and recognized revenue.

- Reduction in aged backlog and revenue-at-risk exposure.

- Timely completion of customer and internal milestones required for revenue recognition.

- Effectiveness and speed of revenue recovery actions, risk escalation, and cross-functional issue resolution.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue operations, revenue execution, capital equipment delivery, healthcare technology, complex project/program leadership, or strategic account execution.

- Demonstrated success engaging C-suite and senior customer leaders to secure decisions, resources, and commitments that enable project execution and revenue recognition.

- Proven record of leading cross-functional matrix teams, recovering revenue at risk, improving forecast accuracy, and delivering measurable revenue results without direct authority.

- Significant experience with large capital programs, healthcare delivery environments, strategic accounts, and multi-year customer initiatives strongly preferred.

- Ability to travel as required to support strategic customers, executive meetings, and critical project milestones (up to 30%).

Skills & Competencies

- Executive presence, strategic communication, and credibility with C-suite and senior clinical leaders.

- Enterprise account strategy, executive stakeholder mapping, governance, and relationship development.

- Strong revenue, financial, and operational acumen, including revenue recognition, backlog management, forecasting, project readiness, installation milestones, and risk management.

- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and mobilize senior matrix stakeholders around a common strategy.

- Advanced problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and executive escalation management.

- Portfolio prioritization, data-driven decision-making, operating rigor, and disciplined follow-through.

- Working knowledge of healthcare economics, integrated delivery networks, capital equipment deployment, and enterprise technology solutions.

- Leadership capability to coach teams, shape culture, and represent GE HealthCare as a trusted strategic partner.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- A seasoned revenue execution leader who can move between executive customer engagement, project-level detail, and operating-plan delivery.

- Comfortable leading direct, high-stakes conversations with customer executives and internal senior leaders.

- Able to diagnose root causes, challenge assumptions, and develop integrated solutions to complex customer and business barriers.

- Highly organized and capable of managing a consequential portfolio with multiple accounts, stakeholders, workstreams, and financial commitments.

- Motivated by measurable revenue delivery, forecast accuracy, disciplined execution, and rapid recovery of revenue at risk.

Why This Role Matters

This senior role closes the gap between booked orders and recognized revenue. It complements—not competes with—the Installation Project Manager function by owning executive alignment, upstream barrier removal, revenue forecasting, and cross-functional recovery actions before and during project execution.

- Convert booked orders and stalled commitments into executable projects and recognized revenue.

- Deliver committed quarterly and annual revenue with a high degree of forecast accuracy.

- Secure executive customer decisions needed to maintain project readiness and revenue timing.

- Reduce aged backlog and exposure from delayed or at-risk revenue.

- Provide senior ownership for cross-functional revenue risks, recovery plans, and escalations.

By combining executive customer engagement, project-level operating rigor, accurate forecasting, and disciplined matrix leadership, the role has one clear mandate: deliver predictable revenue from GE HealthCare’s committed backlog.
