Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Global Media International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Director - Security Operations based onsite in our New York, New York headquarters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for Security across the AMC Global Media portfolio
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive companywide physical security strategies and policies
- Educating senior leadership, managers, and employees regarding proper security protocols including conducting regular emergency response drills and training
- Conduct internal risk assessments and security audits and recommending enhancements to improve security including implementing and managing security tools and solutions.
- Coordinate all physical security efforts, from day-to-day building operations to major company events, scaling support and level of security as needed
- Identify and manage undetected threats, vulnerabilities, and security gaps, including supporting and managing vulnerability testing and assessments
- Investigate and take appropriate actions with respect to online threats against Company personnel
- Conducting Crisis Management Training
- Prepare regular reports for executive management on security status and incident response
- Manage, coordinate, maintain, and update essential security documentation, including Security manuals, Emergency Response Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Incident reports and vendor lists.
- Manage, monitor, assess, and handle security-related service tickets, compliance tasks, while supporting fire/life safety coordination and management.
- Manage contract guard services including selection, placement, training, and retention strategies, and assist with or conduct training as needed
- Work with outside security consultants including liaising with corporate security teams provided by Landlord at Company leased properties
- Keeping abreast of the latest security trends and technologies, implementing innovative solutions as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven track record of 10+ years, combining corporate security expertise and/or law enforcement leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of standard security best practices and crisis management protocols, with strong understanding of physical security technology and its role in supporting operations
- Ability to liaise with U.S. law enforcement and intelligence personnel
- Professional demeanor, organized, and detail oriented
- Ability to handle sensitive information with appropriate discretion
- Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to respond effectively to high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with building management procedures and building codes
- Experience in the entertainment or hospitality industry a plus
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred

The base compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000 commensurate with experience.
