# A Day in the Life
Medtronic Electronics Components Center (MECC) manufactures critical electronic and electromechanical components that support Medtronic products across the enterprise. The Quality organization is responsible for ensuring components and assemblies meet established specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards through robust inspection processes, effective quality controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is based at the MECC facility in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and requires an onsite work arrangement five days per week. Travel is expected to be 10% or less.

The Senior Inspection Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the inspection function, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of components, assemblies, and finished products. This role is responsible for driving quality performance, developing team members, maintaining efficient inspection workflows, and supporting manufacturing operations through effective planning, resource management, and continuous process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee inspection activities for in-process and finished products, ensuring compliance with established specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
- Direct, develop, and evaluate inspection personnel to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
- Prioritize inspection schedules to support manufacturing requirements, new product introductions, and customer commitments while minimizing turnaround times.
- Review inspection results and make disposition decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, rework, or escalation of nonconforming product.
- Ensure the effective use and maintenance of inspection equipment, gauges, measuring devices, and testing systems.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and support statistical process control and other quality control methodologies to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements.
- Recommend and implement improvements to inspection methods, procedures, staffing plans, equipment utilization, and operational processes.

Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of manufacturing, quality inspection, or quality assurance experience
- 2+ years of people leadership experience in a manufacturing, quality, or regulated production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with quality management systems and regulated manufacturing processes.
- Experience supporting electronics, electromechanical, machining, or component manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) and LabWare.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, inspection, or manufacturing processes.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$92,000.00 - $138,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
