Your Future Team
The Office of the CMO is looking for an intern to help build the OCMO Insight Engine —an AI-powered solution that turns marketing performance data into concise, decision-ready insights for senior leaders.

In this role, you’ll use Atlassian tools, Rovo, and responsible AI practices to develop agents that analyze monthly OKR results, business reviews, and historical trends. The solution will help identify meaningful changes, surface areas requiring marketing leadership attention, and produce an executive report that highlights the decisions that matter most.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business operations, data storytelling, and executive communications.

Responsibilities
Partner with the Office of the CMO to understand how marketing business reviews (and selected reports) are prepared and used.

- Design and build Rovo-based agents that:

Ingest current- and prior-month Atlassian Goals scores and owner commentary.
- Detect significant changes in key results and overall progress month over month.
- Draft concise executive-summary bullets explaining the likely drivers of those changes.
- Flag key results scoring low and generate questions for leadership follow-up.
- Rebuild a month-over-month trend view without relying on a single reporting surface.
- Produce a one-screen CMO pre-read (or dashboard) that distills multiple objectives and key results into the most important decision points.

- Establish a human-in-the-loop review process to validate AI-generated outputs before they are shared with leadership.
- Test outputs for accuracy, clarity, appropriate executive tone, and usefulness.
- Document the solution and create a reusable workflow that the OCMO team can operate after the internship.
- Measure the impact of the solution, including time saved, adoption, read-time, and the quality of decisions surfaced.

Explore related automation opportunities, such as:

- Reminding owners to submit updates.
- Triage and organization of Marketing Values Awards nominations.
- Refreshing recurring monthly or quarterly templates (CMO/Marketing Updates).
- Auditing recurring pages and linked resources for stale information.

What Success Looks Like
By the end of the internship, you will have:

- Built a working multi-source insight and trend-detection workflow.
- Generated executive-summary bullets for material changes in key results.
- Created automated low-performing-key-result flags with recommended discussion prompts.
- Delivered a self-rebuilding month-over-month trend view.
- Produced a concise CMO pre-read focused on decision-worthy issues.
- Demonstrated the solution in at least two consecutive monthly review cycles, with only light human editing.
- Documented a quality-assurance process and packaged the workflow for continued use by the OCMO team.
- Quantified the time and effort saved compared with the existing process.

Minimum Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in computer science, data science, information systems, business, marketing, communications, or a related field and returning to the program after completing the internship, graduating by June 2028.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, or business operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort learning new tools and working with stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, trustworthy work.
- Ability to commit to a full-time internship (40 hours/week).
- Please note: At this time, we are only open to entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (excluding internships and co-ops).
