About this role
The Company
At CancerIQ, our technology is expanding access to precision cancer prevention, early detection and treatment to more patient populations. We build software and design services that make it easy for health systems to use genetic information to get ahead of cancer at scale. Our best-in-class, science-based platform is proven to double genetic counseling service capacity, quadruple genetic testing uptake and significantly improve screening compliance. To date, CancerIQ has raised over $26 million to deliver on our mission, with our Series B funding round led by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Amgen Ventures.
Our team is made up of a committed, all-in group of people who are as driven to ending cancer as we know it as the providers and patients we serve. This has led to a growing network of over 200 clinical locations across the country, with a robust ecosystem of partners in the diagnostic and genomics space behind us. But we're committed to scaling quickly. In this era of tremendous progress against cancer, we're looking for people to be just as tremendously committed to their work at CancerIQ. If you want your work to matter, join us.
Role Summary
CancerIQ is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the product roadmap for the CancerIQ platform, the full set of workflows that power hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic testing, and screening compliance for our health-system customers. This role sits at the intersection of clinical oncology, health-system operations, and software product development, translating a deep understanding of cancer risk assessment and genetic counseling workflows into product decisions that improve patient outcomes and drive measurable value for our 60+ enterprise customers.
You will work closely with Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to define priorities, ship high-quality features, and ensure our platform continues to lead the market in precision cancer prevention. This is a highly cross-functional, highly visible role for someone who wants to build product that directly changes how cancer is caught earlier.
Requirements
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the end-to-end product roadmap for the CancerIQ platform, balancing customer needs, market trends, clinical best practice, and business priorities
- Translate company strategy into a prioritized, well-sequenced roadmap and clearly communicate trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Define and track success metrics for shipped features, using data to validate impact and inform the next iteration
Oncology & Clinical Domain Expertise
- Develop and maintain a deep working knowledge of hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic counseling workflows, and genetic testing pathways
- Partner with clinical stakeholders — including genetic counselors, Oncology Service Line Leaders, and Directors of Breast Centers and Cancer Services to ensure product decisions reflect real clinical workflows and constraints
- Stay current on relevant clinical guidelines, payor policy, and industry trends in cancer genetics and screening, and translate them into product requirements
Execution & Delivery
- Write clear, well-scoped requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering can build against with minimal ambiguity
- Partner closely with Engineering throughout the build cycle, from discovery through launch, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery
- Manage scope, sequencing, and trade-offs across concurrent initiatives, escalating risks and blockers early
Feature Adoption & Change Management
- Partner with Customer Success on adoption as part of the definition of done, a feature isn't finished at launch, it's finished when customers are using it
- Build and execute go-to-market and rollout plans for new features in partnership with Customer Success and Marketing, including training materials, release notes, and in-app guidance
- Define adoption and usage metrics for every major release, and track them post-launch to identify where customers are stalling out
- Work with Customer Success to design onboarding flows and change-management support for features that alter existing clinical or operational workflows
- Run post-launch retrospectives to diagnose low-adoption features and drive iteration or re-launch as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Customer Success to understand adoption barriers, customer feedback, and account-level product needs
- Work with Sales and Marketing to inform positioning, support key deals, and ensure the roadmap reflects market and competitive dynamics
- Serve as a key product voice in cross-functional and leadership discussions, representing the customer and clinical perspective
Customer & Market Insight
- Conduct customer discovery, interviews, site visits, and workflow observation with health-system stakeholders to identify unmet needs and opportunities
- Analyze usage, adoption, and outcomes data across the customer base to identify patterns and prioritize the roadmap accordingly
- Conduct ongoing market trend analysis, tracking shifts in oncology care delivery, precision medicine, and health-system purchasing priorities, to inform strategic roadmap decisions
- Monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape in hereditary cancer risk and precision oncology to keep CancerIQ ahead of the market
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of shipping B2B or healthcare SaaS products end to end
