About this role
The UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty & Research Hospital’s Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy (SCTCT) Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) partners with the SCTCT nurse manager to provide patient care and nursing services oversight for an inpatient 24-bed protected environment unit. The SCTCT ANM focuses on promoting quality, evidence-based care and patient satisfaction in a fiscally responsive manner. The SCTCT ANM serves as a leadership support for night shift and will work two (2)12-hour shifts as a charge RN, and two (2) 8-hour shifts in an administrative capacity supporting unit operations and strategic planning. The ANM will supervise, direct, coach and mentor staff under the supervision of the nurse manager.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:
- RN Registered Nurse State Licensure Required
- BLS Basic Life Support Required
- BMTCN Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three (3) years of RN experience required
- At least one (1) year of acute care inpatient RN experience required; two (2) years of acute care inpatient oncology experience highly preferred. .
- One (1) year in a charge nurse role preferred.
