Education and Licenses
High School Diploma or GED
Obtain and Maintain Department of Labor Occupational License related to Access Control, Video Surveillance and Fire/Life Safety Systems.
Technical Skills and Requirements
- Experience with access control systems and security technologies
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Strong understanding of networking
- Certifications in video/security systems, updated annually
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to security, including applicable license requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in training and supporting end-users
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to job requirements
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Valid driver’s license for on-site visits and installations
- Ability to pass a background check and security clearance
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and install heavy equipment
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
