Job Description Summary
Medical Assistant II (CMA/RMA) performs certified or registered Medical Assistant work that supports timely, coordinated care across ambulatory and specialty practice settings. Work includes patient intake, clinical documentation, specimen handling, medication support, and care team workflow support under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider and within approved clinical protocols, applicable state requirements, and site standards for Medical Assistant work.<br><br>Medical Assistant II (CMA/RMA) works under moderate supervision and applies working knowledge of clinical support procedures to complete routine and moderately complex assignments. Decisions impact patient support activities, operational effectiveness, and team outcomes.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, reconcile medication and allergy information, and prepare visit documentation for provider review.
• Assist physicians, licensed providers, and licensed clinical staff with exams, procedures, screenings, and patient education materials within established scope and protocols.
• Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, specimen labeling, and related documentation according to quality and safety requirements.
• Perform approved medication support, injection, immunization, treatment, or testing activities only as directed and permitted by site protocols and applicable requirements.
• Coordinate routine follow-up activities, including patient instructions, lab or imaging preparation, prescription refill routing, and care team messages.
• Monitor exam room readiness, supply levels, equipment availability, and infection prevention practices to support daily clinic flow.
• Identify documentation gaps, workflow delays, patient concerns, or clinical support issues and escalate to licensed clinical staff or site leadership when needed.
Compensation Range:
$18.00
to
$28.50
The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
