Director, Engineering

The Director, Engineering is responsible for overseeing the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. The scope of this job includes leading a team of engineers and technical experts, driving both technical and operational success, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire multiple engineering teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Work with senior leadership to define the long-term technical vision and roadmap and align engineering objectives with company-wide goals by ensuring the teams’ work directly contributes to business success.
- Influence business leaders on key initiatives and projects, create strategic proposals to gain approval for execution, and oversee execution of major technical initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with solution management, design, and other departments to align on goals, solution features, and timelines to deliver cohesive and scalable solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks in both technical and operational areas, and ensure that engineering teams are prepared for unforeseen challenges and have the necessary support to overcome obstacles.
- Act as a key point of contact between the engineering teams and executive leadership by communicating project status, risks, and successes, and providing insights into technical decisions and their potential business impact.
- Provide direction to engineering managers and senior engineers to support their growth and drive team performance.
- Leverage AI tools and platforms as an integral part of daily responsibilities to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 4 - 5 years related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Healthcare industry experience

Job Expectations:

- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
