About this role

- Scheduling & Coordination:

Accurately schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures based on physician orders and patient

- Coordinate with clinical departments to confirm availability of equipment and

- Review orders for accuracy and completeness; verify prepayments and prior authorization details prior to

- Patient Interaction:

Communicate with patients via phone or electronically to confirm appointment

- Provide instructions and preparation requirements related to scheduled

- Handle cancellations, reschedules, and no-shows

- Insurance & Authorization:

Obtain and verify insurance

- Ensure prior authorizations are obtained when

- Collaborate with pre-certification or insurance verification teams as

- Record Keeping & Systems:

Enter appointment data into both order and scheduling notes

- Maintain accurate records of scheduling

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality

- Customer Service:

Provide high-quality service to patients and referring

- Handle scheduling related concerns and escalate issues as

- Foster a positive patient

- Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

- Associate's degree or related coursework in medical office administration preferred

- Minimum 1-2 years in a healthcare scheduling, medical front office, or customer service

- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance plans, and diagnostic procedures
