General Description:

We are seeking a Well Operations Engineer to join our Well Operations & Reservoir Team. This role is responsible for the technical stewardship, performance optimization, integrity management, regulatory compliance, and development of the company's disposal well assets and associated reservoirs.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Geology, Facilities, Regulatory, EH&S, Finance, and external stakeholders to optimize well performance, manage risk, support capital projects, and ensure regulatory compliance. This position combines reservoir engineering, well drilling and operations, well integrity, and project management responsibilities, requiring both strong technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys owning assets throughout their lifecycle, from reservoir evaluation and regulatory approvals to drilling, well intervention, optimization, integrity management, and abandonment.

As a Senior Well Operations & Reservoir Engineer with us, the minimum responsibilities are:

- Monitor well performance, injection trends, reservoir pressure behavior, and operational effectiveness
- Prepare, manage, and execute drilling, completions, workovers, stimulations, and abandonment (ARO) programs
- Conduct pressure and volumetric analyses, capacity assessments, and performance evaluations to support operational and development decisions
- Lead well integrity assessments, containment reviews, and risk evaluations
- Prepare and support regulatory applications, engineering submissions, compliance reporting, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, AFEs, forecasts, and technical proposals
- Collaborate with Operations, Geology, Facilities, EH&S, Finance, Business Development, and Land teams to optimize asset performance and support strategic planning

What We Need From You:

- C.E.T. or Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation
- 10+ years of progressive experience in well operations, reservoir engineering, production engineering, or disposal well operations
- Experience with pressure analysis, reservoir evaluation, and well performance optimization
- Working knowledge of drilling, completions, workovers, stimulations, and abandonment operations
- Understanding of well integrity management principles and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong project management and contractor management skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical writing abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Wellview, PetroSight, and geoSCOUT
- Experience with disposal wells, injection reservoirs, or cavern storage would be considered an asset
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
