Financial Reporting Senior Associate

Unlike many roles at FSG, this one requires a degree of technical experience including significant exposure to alternative funds financial reporting and SEC filings and familiarity with DFIN reporting tools.

Your key responsibilities are to deliver white glove service and honor the FSG Principles while:

- Draft, prepare, and document accurate fund financial statements and SEC filings on Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC filings, as required
- Play a significant role in standing up DFIN ActiveDisclosure and in implementing and enhancing controls over the financial reporting process
- Support team members with strong commitment to quality, accountability, and client service
- Stay current on FASB and SEC reporting requirements, filings, and best practices  and incorporate relevant changes into client filings and processes
- Coordinate with clients, auditors, counsel, and internal teams to deliver complete, accurate and timely reporting and filings
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation, technology, and operational efficiencies

Our requirements for you as an applicant are simple:

- 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience preparing fund financial reports for non-public funds and SEC filings for registered investment companies
- Experience implementing and improving processes that enhance quality, consistency, and efficiency 
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement presentation
- Ability to participate on projects and make sound decisions with appropriate guidance and team coordination
- A passion for learning, improving processes, supporting team members, and helping others succeed
- Commitment to understanding, problem-solving, and asking the extra question that leads to better outcomes
- Exceptional written communication skills and an exacting attention to detail
- Proficiency in prioritization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
- Experience with fund administration software a plus but not a requirement

- Base salary commensurate with experience and success: The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000
- Quarterly bonus that offers unlimited potential growth - 1/3 rd of our profits (no matter how much) are shared with our team in bonuses each quarter

We are primarily a remote work company, but some of the training for this role may be best delivered in-person leveraging client sites or local coworking locations. Our clients also ask us to provide on-site support from time-to-time. In the interview process, we can outline expectations about what, if any, in-person training or support time is expected to be required for this role.
