Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director and working alongside the T o urism Ma n ager, the to u rism engagement co o r d ina t or pla n s and implements tourism initiatives, ma n ages marke t ing effor t s, and serves as a liaison between local businesses and visitors. Key respo n sibilitie s include develo p ing promo t ional ma t erials, coordina t ing group to u rs, managing social me d ia and we b site content, eve n t coordina t io n and calendari n g and tracking performa n ce metrics. This position requires strong inter p erso n al skil l s to help build partnerships with local stake h olders and provide visitor service s .
Essential Duties:
- Marke t ing and promotio n : Demonstra t ed experie n ce creating, updating, a n d optimizing touris m - rela t ed digital content across destination websites, event calendars, social med i a platforms, Google Business/Pro f ile to o ls, and partne r -facing communica t io n s .
- We b site Content Management: Maintai n we b site business listings and co n tent. Work directly with stake h olders, including businesses and event promoters, to make sure listings are up to da t e . Partnership development: Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, a n d gover n ment agencies such as Arizona Office of To u rism, Prescott Cham b er Visitor Center, and Prescott Downtown Partnership to e n ha n ce the visitor experience and increase tourism .
- Working kno w le d ge of the City of Prescot t 's Special Event Application and Permitting Proces s , including Special Events Committee revie w s, depar t ment coor d inatio n , and event organizer comm u nicatio n .
- Visitor services: Work with the Chamber Visitor Ce n ter to provi d e materials for fron t -line customer support and manage promotional material fulfillme n t .
- Eve n t support: Working with To u rism Manager, assisting with the planning and im p lementa t ion of to u rism-related events and activities.
A d mi n istra t ive tasks:
- Ha n dle account payabl e s/receivables for Touri s m a n d Eco n omic Developmen t , track budget expenditures, and create inte r -de p ar t mental business travel itineraries.
- S u pport the a d ministratio n of T o urism Advisory Commi t tee (TAC) Grant a n d sponsorship programs, including applicatio n s tracking, co n tract co o r d ina t io n , budget documenta t io n , and communica t ion with award recipients.
- Work with T o urism Manager a n d Director to genera t e agendas and docume n t minutes for Tourism A d visory Committee Mee t ings.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
High school d iploma or equivalent required, and three (3) years of experience in marketing, tourism, hospitality or a related field or any com b ina t io n of experie n ce and trai n ing which demonstrates the kno w le d ge and experie n ce to perform the work .
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Public Administration, Economic Development, Marketing, Recreation, or other closely related field preferred or a ny equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements:
Must have a valid AZ driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment. A valid passport is required to attend occasional international events. Must be able to work occasional non-traditional working hours and weekends.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
