VAT & Indirect Tax Manager – LATAM and APAC:

The VAT Manager – LATAM & APAC will oversee indirect tax compliance across the region, ensuring accurate and timely VAT filings while providing strategic VAT guidance to support business operations, growth initiatives, and risk management.

What You’ll Do:

- Manage VAT compliance across LATAM and APAC, including review and approval of VAT returns prepared by finance teams and external providers.

- Ensure compliance with local VAT/GST regulations, filings, payments, and refund claims.

- Maintain VAT control frameworks, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to mitigate tax risk.

- Lead VAT audits, tax authority inquiries, and resolution of compliance issues.

- Identify opportunities to improve VAT recovery, cash flow, and compliance processes.

- Provide VAT guidance on commercial transactions, supply chain changes, restructurings, M&A activities, and business initiatives.

- Support tax technology projects, including ERP, tax engine, and e-invoicing implementations.

- Monitor and assess VAT risks, including documentation of uncertain tax positions.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the primary VAT advisor for LATAM and APAC stakeholders.

- Partner with finance, accounting, legal, IT, supply chain, and business teams.

- Coordinate with external tax advisors and deliver VAT training to internal teams.

- Communicate tax risks, project updates, and compliance matters to tax leadership.

- Drive process improvements, automation, and alignment with global tax objectives.

What You’ll Need:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- CPA, Master's degree, or professional tax certification preferred.

- 7+ years of VAT compliance and advisory experience in a multinational corporation and/or Big 4 environment.

- Strong knowledge of VAT/GST regulations across multiple jurisdictions, particularly LATAM.

- Experience working with cross-functional teams, auditors, and external advisors.

- Fluent in English; SAP experience preferred.
