Machine Operators (3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.)

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Machine Operators for our 2nd shift. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manufacturing machines.

Work Schedule: 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Training Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (up to 6 weeks)

Hourly Rate: Based on Position

2nd Shift Differential: Additional $.75

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or GED

- Experience in setting up and operating semi-automated machines.

- Experience in working in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience working in a chemical environment

- Experience using a Microscope

- Basic computer skills

- Good math skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills

STACKING OPERATOR: $19.50 - $20.50 (DOE)

- Upload program instructed on the traveler to stack sheets of dielectric material.

- Stackers are responsible for stacking sheets of dielectric material.

- Read the travelers to ensure that they are following correct build-up design and correct dielectric type.

- Read and locate program files and data recording in SPC Data Entry are required for this position.

- Inspection of stacked bars through the microscope.

tERMINATION DIPPER: $19.25 - $19.75 (DOE)

- Responsible for applying end-bands to chip capacitors, and the quality of the set-up of machine ink management; ensure to use the correct program based on the size of the parts.

- Load chips onto a plate and press the chips into the plate.

- Dip the plate into a termination ink then place it into the drying oven.

- Load and unload termination drying oven.

SCREEN PRINTING OPERATOR: $19.25 - $19.75 (DOE)

- Screeners are responsible for the quality of the prints they produce.

- They must be able to read the travelers to ensure that they are using correct ink, screens and dielectric type tape and tape thickness Responsible for properly configuring and orienting tooling to support consistent, high-quality production by aligning multiple screens.

- Perform first article inspection by doing multiple tests before starting lots to be printed.

- Work with chemicals used for screen cleaning.

MIXING OPERATOR : $20.00 - $22.00 (DOE)

- Wear full mask respirator when preparing mixing ingredients

- Working from formulation sheets, weighing of materials and chemicals on scales up to 400 pounds.

- Use of zahn cup, specific gravity cup, and other analytic equipment.

- Loading mills and setting timers per specification.

- Communicates with the engineering department on a daily basis.

- Frequent verbal instruction and inspection of work or materials produced.

- Assist in cleaning up solvent or material spills.

Physical AND MENTAL Demands

- Use of microscope, 25% of shift

- Standing/Walking 80% of shift; Sitting 20% of the shift

- Twisting of neck and waist 10% of shift

- Reaching above shoulder, and simple hand grasping up to 20% of shift.

- Stoop, Squat and Bend 30% of the shift.

- Lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 lbs, 10% of the shift

- Will occasionally work in fast paced environment and demonstrate adaptability

- Must understand and follow a set of clear verbal and/or written procedures without deviation.

- Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards.

- Interact with co-workers to complete tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a manufacturing/ production environment and exposure to chemicals. This role occasionally uses protective equipment such as: gloves and eyewear. This role often uses standard office equipment such as computers and photocopiers
