Graduate Placement - Scene Assembly

The Scene Assembly Placement will be full time based out of our Melbourne studio and the successful applicant will be trained up in all things scene assembly for 2D Animation. Working with our amazing team of Scene Assembly Artists, you will be guided through the whole process with the goal of contributing scene assembly for the series.

What you'll do:

- Working alongside our scene assembly team you will learn the fundamentals of 2D animation.
- You will contribute scene assembly to our series with guidance from senior staff and department leads.
- You will receive additional training in Harmony.

Who you are:

- A recent graduate or early career 2D animator who wants to get a foot in the door of series animation.
- Someone with a basic understanding of the 2D animation pipeline and relevant overall skills in the 2D animation pipeline.
- Someone with strong communication skills, a great work ethic and workplace professionalism.
- Someone with a true passion for adult animation.

In addition to be eligible for the Program, you must:

- Be a Victorian resident
- Have been living in Victoria for at least 6 months immediately preceding the start of the Placement
- Be a graduate of a relevant post-secondary study or have the basic industry experience necessary to fulfil the Placement
- Not already be engaged or previously engaged (as an employee, contractor or otherwise) by Princess Bento or a related company
- Not be seeking to undertake the Placement for course credit or to meet other educational requirements

Timeline:

- Applications close at 5:00PM on 9th October 2026
- Princess Bento will assess each application and invite shortlisted candidates to attend an interview in the week commencing 9th November 2026
- The successful candidate will be informed by 11th December 2026
- The successful candidate will commence their 6 month placement on 11th January 2027
