Job Summary

The Manager, Alliance Partners – ANZ is responsible for leading and optimizing strategic alliance partnerships to drive mutual growth, maximize return on investment, and ensure disciplined governance of partner-funded programs. Acting as the central point of coordination between alliance partners, category teams, finance, and regional stakeholders, this role ensures alliance funds are strategically deployed, compliant with policies, and aligned to business priorities. The position combines strategic planning, financial stewardship, and operational execution to deliver measurable commercial outcomes and long-term partner value.

Key Responsibilities

• Alliance Partner Management:  Act as the primary point of contact for alliance partners, coordinating and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships to ensure partnerships are consistently well-managed, mutually beneficial, and aligned to shared objectives.

• Strategic Planning & Alignment:  Partner closely with category managers to define funding strategies, priorities, and go-to-market initiatives that support business goals and maximize return on investment.

• Budget Governance & Optimization:  Plan, allocate, and monitor alliance partner budgets, fund spend, and reserves across programs and GTMs, ensuring optimal utilization and financial discipline.

• Approval & Compliance Management:  Obtain pre-approval from category managers and alliance partners for all programs, activities, and budgets prior to execution, ensuring adherence to HP policies, guidelines, and alliance partner branding requirements.

• Program & Activity Management:  Develop and submit detailed program and activity plans to alliance partners for approval, ensuring clarity of objectives, execution rigor, and measurable outcomes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Work closely with category teams, RTM functions, program owners, marketing, finance, and operations to enable integrated planning, execution, and reporting of alliance-funded initiatives.

• Financial Coordination:  Partner with Finance and Category teams to manage accruals and expected reimbursement amounts, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and financial reconciliation.

• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:  Track program performance, fund utilization, and outcomes against agreed objectives, providing clear insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Escalation & Issue Management:  Proactively manage and resolve escalation issues with alliance partners or internal stakeholders to protect relationships and ensure continuity of programs.

• Regional Alignment:  Coordinate alliance funding plans and strategies with Greater Asia to ensure regional alignment, consistency, and best-practice sharing.

• Governance & Enablement:  Participate in ongoing quarterly planning, governance, and training sessions related to Alliance Partner Program guidelines to ensure up-to-date knowledge and compliance.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Typically has significant experience in alliance partner management, category management, or commercial program management within a large, matrixed organization.

• Demonstrated capability in budget management, financial governance, and ROI-driven investment planning.

• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across internal teams, external partners, and regional organizations.

• Strong understanding of go-to-market execution, partner programs, and compliance-driven marketing environments.
