As Australia's energy sector continues to transform, organisations are facing complex strategic, operational and regulatory challenges. To support the growth of our Energy Advisory practice, we are looking for talented consultants who are keen to build their careers in this dynamic industry.

We welcome candidates from a range of consulting backgrounds. Energy experience is not essential. What matters is strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and advisory capability, combined with a genuine interest in the energy transition.

As a Manager in our Energy Advisory team, you will work with clients on complex business challenges, help shape strategic decisions and deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions. This role is ideal for a commercially minded consultant who enjoys working closely with clients and turning insight into action.

You will:

- Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with client stakeholders, becoming a reliable point of contact throughout engagements.

- Manage engagement workstreams, taking responsibility for scope, timelines, quality and day-to-day delivery.

- Structure complex commercial, regulatory, operational and technology problems, and drive the analysis needed to solve them.

- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and client deliverables that are clear, evidence-based and defensible.

- Support clients through change by helping design and deliver stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption activities that make recommendations stick.

- Contribute to business development, proposals and marketing activities, while helping identify opportunities for clients and the practice.

- Coach and support more junior team members, including reviewing their work.

Qualifications

You bring a quantitative capability and sound commercial judgement. You are comfortable working across complex, ambiguous environments and enjoy developing strategies that translate into practical outcomes for clients.

You will bring:

- 4 to 6+ years of management consulting experience, ideally advising clients on complex strategic, operational or transformation challenges. Experience working in energy, utilities or infrastructure is advantageous, however we welcome candidates from a broad range of sectors who are interested in applying their consulting skills to the energy industry.
- Experience across diverse engagement types, including strategy, market entry, business cases, operating model design and change or adoption. 
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving capability, including financial modelling and business-case analysis.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

- The ability to build effective relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

- Comfort using AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your work, with the judgement to apply them appropriately and check outputs.

- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in developing more junior team members. 
- Experience or awareness of emerging topics shaping the energy transition, such as data centres, market reform, CER and renewables economics, would be highly regarded.
