As a Staff Engineer, Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will play a critical role in bringing these innovations to market. Working directly with strategic automotive OEMs and Tier-1 partners, you will act as the bridge between customers and Qualcomm's global engineering organization, helping customers successfully integrate and commercialize Qualcomm automotive solutions.
This is a highly visible and impactful role that combines customer engagement, technical leadership, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technologies while influencing the success of some of the industry's most advanced digital cockpit and infotainment programs.
What You'll Do
• Serve as the primary technical and program interface for assigned automotive customers.
• Build trusted relationships with customer engineering teams, program leaders, and key stakeholders.
• Drive successful execution of automotive infotainment and digital cockpit programs from evaluation through commercialization and production.
• Coordinate customer requirements, project milestones, technical dependencies, and execution priorities across multiple engineering organizations.
• Lead technical issue reviews, risk assessments, and escalation management activities to keep customer programs on track.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Customer Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, and Business teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
• Identify potential program risks early and drive mitigation plans before they impact critical milestones.
• Communicate project status, priorities, risks, and key decisions clearly to both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support customer workshops, executive reviews, and strategic technical discussions.
• Champion customer success while balancing customer needs with Qualcomm product and engineering objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting external customers in automotive, embedded, software, or semiconductor industries.
• Experience managing customer projects, technical issues, program milestones, and execution risks.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution and project execution.
• Strong customer-facing communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand technical issues and translate them into actionable plans and priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional proficiency in Korean and English.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a Technical Account Manager, Customer Engineer, Program Manager, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience supporting automotive infotainment, digital cockpit, connectivity, or embedded platform programs.
• Experience managing customer escalations and critical program issues.
• Experience working with global engineering, product management, and customer engineering organizations.
• Familiarity with project and issue management tools such as Salesforce, Jira, or Confluence.
• Broad understanding of embedded software platforms such as Android, Linux, or QNX.
• Experience with Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive or comparable automotive SoC platforms.
• Exposure to ADAS or autonomous driving programs, including customer engagement, program execution, issue management, or product commercialization activities.
• Understanding of ADAS system development concepts such as camera, sensor processing, AI/ML-based perception, functional safety, or vehicle integration.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
