The context
Aside is a personal work agent that does your work for you. Users tell us every day what’s broken and what’s missing. We need an engineer who hears that feedback, fixes it, and ships new features end to end.
**You will:**
* **Fix what users tell you.** Listen to user feedback from our community and interviews, and fix every issue that comes up.
* **Build features end to end.** Design it, build it, and get it distributed to users yourself. You own the whole thing.
What we’re looking for
* **Use your brain.** You understand the structure before you touch it. You read the code yourself and know why each change works.
* **Product sense.** You make firm calls on what to ship and what not to ship, and you can explain why.
* **Design sense.** You care about how the product looks and how easy it is to use. You notice when a flow is confusing or a detail is off, and you fix it.
* **Show off what you built.** You demo your work to the team and our community, and take credit for it. You listen to users and love the loop of making it better.
How we work
* We’re a small, talent-dense team. Everyone has broad ownership.
* You'll work directly with the founders.
* You’ll directly talk to users through our community and interviews.
* Our office is based in San Francisco.
* We can help on housing (we have co-living house) and visa (depends on the situation).
