How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

Are you a visionary Principal Product Manager eager to define the vision, build, and lead the development of intuitive user experiences and robust backend systems that transform industrial operations? Our Product team is at the core of developing Cognite Data Fusion® into a robust and scalable platform for solving critical industrial data problems. This work is central to transforming asset-intensive industries – making them safer, more sustainable, and more profitable. Cognite Data Fusion® makes operational data available at scale, adding immense value through advanced data processing. This empowers industries to make truly data-driven decisions. Our platform leverages many different technologies, each chosen for its ability to solve specific challenges effectively.

To build the best possible product, we believe in autonomous teams where product managers, developers, and designers work closely together. Our teams are focused on building the next-generation industrial data platform and applications across diverse industries like Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power & Utility. This includes enabling all types of workflows, from advanced analytics to assisting in critical decision-making. We're a strong mix of product managers, engineers, and designers, united by a deep commitment to user experience and creating products users genuinely want to use.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll be a key player in setting product direction, building the product, and owning its success across Cognite’s industrial customers. You'll have the opportunity to:

- Define product strategy and roadmap for the future of Cognite Data Fusion, focused on improved usability, accelerated time to value, and integration of new AI technologies.

- Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.

- Work closely with our skilled users to understand their needs and build products that help them succeed.

- Partner with GTM and customer teams to enable them on offerings and ensure successful product launches.

We're seeking a proactive product leader who is passionate about user value, user satisfaction, and shaping robust, end-to-end solutions for their industrial data challenges.

- You love making users happy and are committed to creating products they truly want to use.

- You have a user-centric mindset: A genuine passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive, easy-to-use solutions for complex technical problems.

- You have experience managing feature delivery and tradeoffs for a complex product area.

- You excel at communicating with different types of stakeholders, ranging from customer senior executives to technical engineers and data scientists.

- You articulate clear and well-structured product requirement documentation that sets the direction for engineering and design.

- You have a track record of successful product launches involving AI technologies.

- You're comfortable learning about new developments within the AI space, and use these tools actively yourself for working efficiently.

- You're accustomed to working in an English-speaking environment.

- You have experience mentoring junior colleagues and leading complex product development projects across global teams.

- You have leadership potential: While initially an individual contributor, you should have the ambition and capability to grow into a leadership role, potentially building and leading a team of product managers in India.

- You have 10+ years of experience in SaaS product management roles, ideally within the industrial OT and IT space, with a strong understanding of how industrial data is collected, stored, and utilized.
