Job summary
As an AI Developer in TBD (team name), you will contribute to the development of applications that use modern AI models and connect to enterprise data in a secure, well-governed way. You’ll work closely with senior developers and cross-functional partners to deliver team-based projects, learn best practices, and build a strong foundation in applied AI engineering.
Job responsibilities
- Assist with designing, building, testing, and improving AI-enabled applications
- Support integration of AI models (including large language models) into software solutions
- Write, review, and debug code under the guidance of senior developers
- Help build data pipelines and connectors that enable secure access to enterprise data sources
- Participate in prompt design, model evaluation, and iterative improvement activities
- Document technical solutions, workflows, and code to support maintainability and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to deliver project outcomes
- Follow data governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI requirements
- Stay current with emerging AI tools, frameworks, and engineering best practices
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in computer science, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field
- Foundational programming skills in Python
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including large language models and foundation models
- Familiarity with APIs, data structures, and core software development fundamentals
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn new tools and concepts
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow technical direction from senior developers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (for example: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or LangChain)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (for example: AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
- Exposure to data pipelines, SQL, and relational databases
- Awareness of responsible AI, data privacy, and security considerations in regulated environments
- Internship, academic, or portfolio project experience involving AI or software development
- Experience supporting more than one Line of Business.
