Carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials accurately.
- Construct and install doors, frames, walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinets, and other structures.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work as required.
- Install and repair wooden fixtures, fittings, and structures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work is properly aligned, level, secure, and finished to the required standard.
- Carry out renovations, repairs, maintenance, and alterations.
- Work with other trades to coordinate construction and installation activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
- Follow site safety procedures and applicable building regulations.
- Inspect completed work and correct defects or issues as required.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a carpenter or in a similar construction role.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and measurements.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
