About the position:

The Senior Integration Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration, data platform, and cloud-native solutions that enable Wells business capabilities. This role will lead the development of APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and cloud services that connect Wells applications, engineering platforms, enterprise data products, AI solutions, and operational systems. The position requires strong software engineering, integration architecture, and data engineering expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions across the Wells digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise integration solutions across Wells applications and platforms.
- Develop REST APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and reusable integration frameworks.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-native applications.
- Integrate Wells applications, engineering systems, vendor platforms, and enterprise services.
- Develop solutions utilizing Azure services, containerized workloads, and distributed computing architectures.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, infrastructure automation, and monitoring capabilities.
- Support Docker, Kubernetes, API Management, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development practices.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, architecture, and operational standards.
- Integrate AI/ML and GenAI services into business workflows and engineering solutions.
- Support digital transformation initiatives through automation, workflow orchestration, and modern integration patterns.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by delivering trusted and scalable data services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration, performance, and reliability issues.
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews, solution design sessions, and technical decision-making.
- Drive engineering best practices, coding standards, software quality, and operational excellence.
- Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across the Wells Digital Platform organization.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- At least 10+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry with Wells domain knowledge.
- Proficiency in OOP including Net Framework/.NET Core To integrate with Azure PaaS Services on full stack development capacity
- Proficiency in working with Azure IaaS using ARM, Bicep, Ansible, YAML towards automated deployment of Web Apps/Web Services/APIs/Docker Containers etc using Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in working with software architecture & design patterns such as repository/CQRS/GoF.
- Understanding on the Azure Entra ID , Azure keyvault based security authentication and authorization using oAuth or other similar protocols

Good to have

- Knowledge on Databricks Notebook & Azure Synapse / Azure Data Factory Jobs
- Knowledge on Power Automate integration.
- Familiarity and experience with OSDU, WITSML & other protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity and experience with Pelaton WellView APIs & WellView data products such as WellHeader, Perforation, Completions, Jobs, Daily Reports, Unscheduled Events etc is a strong plus.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
