About this role
monday.com is the AI work platform powering the most ambitious teams. 250,000+ customers across departments use us to bring people, workflows, and AI agents together on one flexible platform where AI doesn’t just assist, it executes. We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you’re empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition.
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Automation Manager to own and evolve the technology, architecture, and operating infrastructure behind Lifecycle Marketing at monday.com .
This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role at the intersection of lifecycle marketing, marketing technology, data, and AI. You will own how our lifecycle platforms are structured and scaled, while building the systems that enable teams across monday.com to safely and independently execute campaigns, in-app experiences, and automated flows.
A major part of the role will be helping us transform how lifecycle marketing gets built: migrating existing programs into our new platform and architecture, reducing manual execution, enabling self-service across the business, and developing increasingly AI-powered and agentic ways to create, QA, and launch campaigns at scale.
You won’t just operate the system. You’ll build the system that enables others to operate.
What you’ll own
Platform architecture & operations
- Own the architecture, governance, and health of our lifecycle marketing platforms, with Braze at the center.
- Define scalable structures for campaigns, Canvases, audiences, events, attributes, templates, channels, permissions, and integrations.
- Establish standards for QA, suppression logic, overlap management, sensitive accounts, regional requirements, and platform governance.
- Own technical implementation and troubleshooting for complex lifecycle programs.
- Partner with Data and Engineering to ensure the right events, attributes, integrations, and behavioral signals are available for targeting, personalization, and automation.
Business enablement & self-service
- Build the operating model that enables teams across monday.com to independently create and launch campaigns, in-app experiences, and automated flows.
- Develop reusable templates, components, audience frameworks, workflows, and guardrails that make self-service fast and safe.
- Design permissions, approval processes, QA mechanisms, and governance that balance autonomy with quality and control.
- Create documentation, training, and enablement that allows partners to use the platform effectively without relying on Lifecycle for every execution.
- Identify recurring requests and turn them into scalable capabilities rather than ongoing operational work.
Platform migration & transformation
- Help lead the migration of existing lifecycle programs and automated flows from legacy platforms into our new lifecycle ecosystem.
- Assess existing flows and determine what should be migrated, redesigned, consolidated, automated, or retired rather than simply recreating everything as-is.
- Establish migration standards and reusable patterns that accelerate the transition.
- Ensure continuity and measurement throughout migration while improving the underlying architecture as we move.
- Partner across Lifecycle, Marketing Operations, Data, Engineering, Growth, PMM, and other teams to manage dependencies and drive adoption of the new platform.
AI & agentic campaign operations
- Lead the evolution toward AI-powered and increasingly agentic campaign creation .
- Identify where campaign creation, audience building, content assembly, QA, experimentation, and deployment can be automated.
- Build workflows that reduce repetitive manual execution while maintaining appropriate human judgment and approval.
- Evaluate new AI and marketing technology capabilities and determine how they should fit into our lifecycle ecosystem.
Operational excellence
- Continuously identify bottlenecks, capability gaps, and unnecessary manual work and drive solutions.
- Build visibility into campaign activity and platform usage across teams.
- Establish standards and best practices that allow the lifecycle ecosystem to scale without increasing operational complexity at the same rate.
- Act as a senior technical partner to Lifecycle and teams across the business, translating marketing needs into scalable platform solutions.
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing technology, CRM, marketing automation, or marketing operations, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Deep hands-on experience with Braze or a comparable sophisticated customer engagement platform , with strong Braze experience highly preferred.
- Experience owning or significantly influencing marketing automation architecture , not only executing campaigns within an existing setup.
- Experience building self-service marketing capabilities that allow non-technical or distributed teams to execute within defined guardrails.
- Experience with platform migrations, large-scale flow or campaign migrations, or significant marketing technology transformations.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle orchestration, segmentation, personalization, experimentation, triggers, and cross-channel experiences.
- Strong technical fluency and comfort working with events, attributes, data structures, APIs, integrations, and permissions.
- Experience partnering directly with Data and Engineering.
- Experience designing scalable processes and automation that reduce manual campaign production.
- Practical experience applying AI or automation to marketing workflows is highly valuable.
- Ability to operate independently as a senior IC . Identifying problems, defining solutions, making decisions, and driving implementation without requiring detailed direction.
- Experience with Liquid, SQL, HTML/CSS, APIs, or similar technical capabilities is a strong advantage.
What success looks like
- Teams across monday.com can safely build and launch more of their own lifecycle experiences without creating operational bottlenecks.
- Our legacy flows have been thoughtfully migrated into a cleaner, more scalable architecture — not simply copied into a new platform.
- Braze and the broader lifecycle stack have clear architecture, governance, and reusable building blocks.
- Campaign creation becomes increasingly automated and agentic, with humans focused on strategy and judgment rather than repetitive execution.
- And as lifecycle activity grows across monday.com , operational complexity doesn’t have to grow with it.
