In order to support the Laboratory for Enabling Technologies (LET), Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Master student in the field of Enabling Technologies (d/f/m), Integration and testing of a testbed for interferometric spacecraft-to-spacecraft laser ranging acquisition

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Setup and optimization of an opto-mechanical experiment including the two Optical Metrology Terminals (OMTs) and the inter-satellite link on a laboratory scale.
- Motion control via fast steering mirror and hexapod.
- Planning and execution of laser link acquisition tests; development and application of different scanning strategies.
- Tracking of the remote terminal once the laser link is established.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Enrolled Full-time Student (d/f/m) in Engineering, Physics or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Matlab and C++ would be beneficial.
- Hands-on experience in the lab with optical elements and lab equipment is an asset.
- Your English is fluent, German is a plus.
- You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
