About our group:
- The Operations Quality & Analytics (OQ&A) organization helps protect and improve Seagate's Total Customer Experience by developing, deploying, and sustaining end-to-end quality analytics and processes. These solutions provide trusted, actionable information that enables earlier detection and prevention of HDD issues.
- The Operations Quality Analytics Tool & System Development Team supports OQ&A functional teams through data analytics and tool/system development.
About the role - you will:
- Support the Global Quality organization by identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve business processes through the implementation of AI agents, automation, and workflow solutions.
- Analyze and understand existing processes and business requirements, then design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and decision-making.
- The intern will have opportunities to build AI-powered solutions that automate quality processes, reduce manual effort, accelerate root-cause investigations, and enhance operational decision-making across global quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Global Quality organization to identify and implement opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency improvements.
- Analyze, document, and understand current business processes and operational requirements.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agents, automated workflows, and other AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions aligned with business objectives and user needs.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance deployed solutions to maximize business value and user adoption.
- Participate in the development of AI-powered analytics, automation tools, and digital transformation initiatives.
About you:

Your experience includes:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Background in statistics and machine learning, including regression, clustering, classification, and anomaly/outlier detection.
- Experience integrating OpenAI APIs (text and vision models) into internal tools, analytics pipelines, or inspection workflows.
- Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyOD, and Statsmodels.
- Knowledge of databases, SQL, and fundamental data management concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work efficiently with large datasets.
- Interest in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-powered applications.
- Understanding prompt engineering concepts and AI-assisted workflows.
You Might Also Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipeline development.
- Basic knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark.
