Business Analyst – AI, Data Analytics & Automation

Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven Business Analyst who can leverage AI, Claude, Python, SQL, and Excel/Google Sheets to convert complex business data into actionable insights. The role will work closely with business and leadership teams to identify performance gaps, automate reporting, build analytical solutions, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze large business datasets using SQL and Python to identify trends, gaps, opportunities, and business risks.
Build and optimize complex SQL queries for business reporting, KPI measurement, and performance analysis.
Use Claude/AI tools for advanced data analysis, business insights, automation, prompt engineering, and leadership-level reporting.
Develop automated Excel and Google Sheets dashboards, MIS reports, trackers, and performance summaries.
Convert business requirements into analytical frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and actionable recommendations.
Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing activities using Python.
Build data pipelines for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data into Excel/Google Sheets.
Create leadership-ready business briefs, executive summaries, callouts, and performance reports using AI.
Work with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Validate data quality and ensure consistency across SQL, Excel, Google Sheets, and reporting outputs.
Improve existing reporting processes through automation, standardization, and AI-assisted analysis.
Develop reusable prompts and analytical frameworks for AI-based business reporting.
Required Skills
Technical
Strong SQL skills, preferably Trino/Presto or similar analytical databases.
Good Python knowledge, especially Pandas and data-processing/automation.
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills including Pivot Tables, formulas, lookups, dashboards, and data analysis.
Hands-on experience with Claude or other Generative AI tools.
Ability to write effective AI prompts / prompt engineering for business analysis.
Understanding of data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting automation.
Business Analytics
Strong understanding of KPIs, productivity, participation, conversion, growth, and operational metrics.
Ability to perform root-cause analysis and convert findings into business recommendations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful business patterns.
Experience creating management/leadership-level dashboards and business reports.
Preferred Skills
Experience in AI-driven analytics and reporting automation.
Experience integrating Python with Google Sheets APIs.
Experience automating scheduled reports and MIS processes.
Knowledge of BI tools such as Superset, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Experience working with business operations, sales, merchant, workforce, or field-force datasets.
Understanding of data warehousing and analytical data models.
