Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) is an emerging technology area that combines wireless communication with sensing capabilities and will play an important role in the evolution toward 6G.

We are looking for newly graduated and early-career software engineers who want to build expertise in wireless technology, embedded software and real-time systems. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will take increasing ownership of technical solutions, contribute to technical discussions and help influence the direction of our work.

Your contribution will focus on the Physical Layer (L1), with close interaction with the Scheduler (L2). This gives you the opportunity to build a broad understanding of real-time software, radio systems and how new functionality is developed into a product.
You will receive support from experienced colleagues while gradually taking ownership of defined tasks and technical areas. We value people who ask questions, bring forward ideas, take responsibility and engage others in finding good solutions.

What you will do

Through challenging assignments, you will strengthen your software craftsmanship, contribute to Ericsson’s products and customer value, and gradually transition into a permanent operational area aligned with your interests and strengths.

Together with your team, you will:

•    Develop and verify high-quality real-time software using C, C++ and Python.
•    Participate in activities across the development lifecycle, including technical studies, design, implementation, testing, integration and system verification.
•    Contribute to new ISAC and future 6G-related functionality, exploring how sensing and communication can work together in a live network.
•    Use automation, modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tools where they can improve quality, efficiency and knowledge sharing.
•    Take responsibility for assigned work, communicate progress and contribute to technical discussions and design decisions.
•    Share knowledge and gradually develop your ability to influence solutions and lead through collaboration.

The skills you bring

•    A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Wireless Communication, Physics or a related field.
•    A curious mindset, a proactive approach and a strong commitment to learning and delivering high-quality work thanks to a genuine enjoyment of software development.
•    Academic, thesis or project experience developing software, preferably embedded or real-time software, with a foundation in C and C++.
•    Demonstrated initiative through academic, personal or team projects, with the motivation to grow into a technical leadership role and engage others.
•    Make use of AI to amplify your skills in software development
•    We will support you in building the domain knowledge you need; initiative and a willingness to learn are essential.
