We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Insights and Activation Analyst

Who You Are:

You are a data-driven and commercially minded analyst who can turn customer data into clear insight and practical marketing action. You are comfortable working hands-on with data, building targeted audiences, and explaining results in a simple, actionable way for business stakeholders.

You enjoy working collaboratively and can partner effectively with teams from different departments to deliver customer insights and support better marketing decisions.

What You'll do:

This role combines customer analysis, hands-on SQL data work, and driving customer audience strategy.

You will play a key role in bridging data and marketing working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across Brand, Digital Marketing, Customer retention, and Clienteling to turn customer data into actionable marketing activity.

Using SQL and Amperity (CDP) you will extract, shape and validate customer data, turning insights into targeted campaign audiences, and continuously refining those audiences based on performance and behaviour. You will transform complex data into clear insights which will help teams understand what’s happening and why.

This role requires someone who is confident working directly with data and equally comfortable partnering with different teams, and who treats data accuracy and logic as non-negotiable.

Customer Analytics & Insights

- Analyse customer behaviour, engagement and purchase patterns to identify actionable insights
- Work with wider analytics team on deeper analysis (e.g. segmentation, propensity modelling inputs)
- Work with business teams to define audiences based on data-driven logic (e.g. lifecycle, value, propensity signals) that drive revenue or engagement
- Evaluate campaign performance and provide clear recommendations to improve targeting and ROI
- Support A/B testing design and measurement

Data Activation (CDP super user)

- Translate marketing briefs into clear, actionable audience definitions
- Build, manage and execute customer segments within the CDP (Amperity) for use across email, paid media, and clienteling
- Use SQL to define, validate and QA audience selections before activation
- Ensure all customer selections are accurate, compliant, and aligned with marketing requirements (preferences, opt-outs, GDPR)
- Own segment naming conventions, taxonomy, and governance
- Support business teams with testing suggestions and best practice
- Work with legal and IT security departments on setting up connectors between CDP and external partners when needed

Data & Technical Execution

- Understanding data landscapes and implication on data availability and accuracy
- Write and maintain clean, efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate customer data from Snowflake and CDP
- Perform data validation and QA checks to ensure accuracy of all outputs used in marketing
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies across CDP, source systems and reporting outputs
- Drive best practices in data handling, documentation, and query structuring

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with Brand, Digital, Retention, Stores and other marketing teams to understand objectives and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Communicate insights in a clear, actionable way (non-technical audience friendly)
- Act as a key link between data, analytics, and marketing execution

What We’re Looking For

- A data-driven thinker who is equally comfortable analysing data and activating it
- Someone who can own end-to-end delivery: from gathering requirements → insight → presenting results → creating audience → evaluation of results
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to working with data
- A proactive individual who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A clear communicator who can simplify complex data for business stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams

You’ll Need to Have:

- Solid experience working with customer data and CDP
- Strong hands-on experience using SQL to query, manipulate and validate large datasets (this is essential)
- Advanced power point skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on experience creating customer segments / audiences for campaigns
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on data accuracy and governance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Understanding of GDPR compliance
- Ability to translate data concepts across and between business-focused and technology-based colleagues
- Strong project execution and organization skills - able to define timelines, establish priorities and ensure projects stay on-track
- Ability to lead and influence across diverse set of teams
