Join Aprio's Audit team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.  Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Audit Associate to join their dynamic team.
 
Our team of credentialed audit experts work with businesses and industry leaders to avoid financial and business risk that can be distracting, costly, and debilitating if not mitigated.  We work with companies to improve financial reporting capabilities, internal controls, evaluate accounting issues, and stay ahead of the curve with new accounting regulations that could have potential impact on long-term business growth. We help companies assess the quality of information they use to make strategic business decisions, and help identify areas where they can improve operating efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Tax Associate, your typical day may include:

- Preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, with a primary focus on partnerships and other flow-through entities

- Reviewing workpapers, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance

- Taking ownership of assigned client engagements and helping drive projects through timely completion

- Researching tax issues and identifying opportunities to support client objectives and planning strategies

- Collaborating directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide responsive service

- Responding to review comments, resolving technical issues, and incorporating feedback efficiently

- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback

- Collaborating with offshore preparation teams and reviewing simpler returns to ensure quality and consistency

- Leveraging tax technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and service delivery

- Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service

- Working closely with Managers, Directors, and Partners to deliver high-quality tax solutions and support client growth initiatives

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting

- 2-5 years of public accounting tax experience

- Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for partnerships, S corporations and corporations

- Strong understanding of flow-through entities and closely held businesses

- Experience reviewing workpapers and responding to review notes

- Ability to manage multiple engagements successfully

- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and CPA firm operations

- Experience working directly with clients and building trusted relationships

- Comfort working with tax technology, automation tools, and evolving AI-enabled solutions

- Ability to collaborate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- CPA or EA designation (preferred)
