About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Commercial Partnerships Lead with strong fintech experience and market insight to maximise the commercial potential of our product portfolio across strategic sales channels. You will bring a deep understanding of the fintech landscape, customer needs, market trends and emerging opportunities to shape compelling product positioning and value propositions, develop attractive packaging and monetisation models, and translate our go-to-market strategy into effective channel sales activation.
A key part of the role will be securing strong channel buy-in and ensuring our solutions are formally represented within channel product portfolios. You will work closely with Product, Sales and channel partners to understand market opportunities and align the product, pricing, placement and promotion of our solutions to create compelling propositions and tangible sales opportunities.
You will also support the end-to-end commercialisation of opportunities, including lead generation, pre-sales, proposals, commercial structuring, contracting, customer onboarding, billing and account growth. You will monitor channel performance against agreed targets, facilitate regular performance reviews and use market and channel insights to identify opportunities to improve sales activation, strengthen our propositions and drive sustainable commercial growth.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior role responsible for complex software solution sales, product commercialisation or business development within the fintech sector.
- A strong understanding of competitors, market trends, customer behaviour and emerging opportunities and threats within the fintech market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Creative and analytical problem solver, with the ability to connect insights across customers, products, technology and the broader ecosystem.
- Strong commercial and go-to-market expertise, including product positioning, value propositions, commercial structuring and channel enablement.
- Able to confidently engage with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders in complex negotiations.
- Proven experience working with multinational corporates and matrix organisations, ideally within an ICT solutions environment.
- Experience building and leading effective sales and cross-functional teams.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Marketing or another relevant field.
