The Organizational Change Management Specialist plays a key role in driving successful enterprise transformation by leading medium–large initiatives and advising business leaders on change strategy, communication, and learning enablement. The role integrates structured change methodology with practical delivery execution to ensure employees are prepared, engaged, and able to adopt new ways of working. As a mid senior practitioner, the Specialist provides coaching to junior analysts, partners closely with sponsors, and influences cross functional teams to improve readiness and accelerate adoption.
This position may be located in Montreal or Toronto.
Responsibilities:
Change Strategy, Impact & Adoption
- Lead end to end OCM strategy development for medium–large projects or multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Conduct complex change impact assessments and translate findings into actionable stakeholder, readiness, and adoption plans.
- Partner with business leaders, project managers, and SMEs to integrate OCM into program plans and governance routines.
- Establish and run Change Networks, including champion engagement, coaching, and activation.
- Identify adoption risks early and design mitigation strategies informed by data and stakeholder feedback.
Communications & Engagement
- Develop enterprise grade communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences including frontline, leadership, and unionized groups.
- Create clear, compelling, and concise messaging that articulates business value, impacts, and expectations.
- Deliver multi channel communication campaigns (email, intranet, videos, town halls, leader talking points, FAQs).
- Lead communications for major program phases including UAT, go live, transition, and hypercare; advise leaders on cascade strategy.
- Establish feedback loops and adjust communication approaches based on insights and engagement metrics.
Training Strategy, Design & Delivery
- Lead the development of program level learning strategies aligned to change impacts and role specific capability needs.
- Oversee the design of blended learning solutions including ILT, VILT, eLearning, micro learning, and performance support tools.
- Partner with the LMS and digital learning teams to manage deployment, measurement, and reporting.
- Support and coach trainers, managers, and SMEs delivering training through TTT or leader led models.
- Align learning outcomes with adoption objectives to ensure readiness and sustainable capability.
Leadership, Facilitation & Culture
- Coach sponsors and leaders on effective sponsorship, change leadership behaviours, and communication expectations.
- Facilitate advanced working sessions including impact deep dives, stakeholder alignment, readiness assessments, and adoption planning.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and change agility across the business.
- Mentor junior OCM Analysts, providing guidance, quality reviews, and skill development.
CoE Standards, Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of CoE standards, frameworks, templates, and playbooks.
- Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams, ensuring consistent application of OCM, communication, and learning best practices.
- Support enterprise change sequencing, capacity planning, and portfolio level reporting.
- Lead lessons learned cycles and contribute insights to enhance future project outcomes.
Measurement & Reporting
- Define and track program level metrics for adoption, engagement, readiness, and learning effectiveness.
- Perform data driven analysis and provide actionable insights to program leadership.
- Monitor communication and learning performance and adjust strategies based on results.
- Report on adoption progress across impacted stakeholder groups, identifying gaps and proposing mitigation plans.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in organizational change management, communications, training design, or transformation delivery.
- Proven experience leading OCM workstreams on medium or large initiatives, ideally in complex, matrixed, or unionized environments.
- Strong knowledge of change methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter) and ability to tailor approaches as needed.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and advisory skills; ability to influence leaders and guide decision making.
- Experience designing and delivering blended learning solutions and working with LMS/digital learning platforms.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex impacts and create clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience developing OCM and communication deliverables such as stakeholder assessments, readiness plans, leader toolkits, training plans, impact assessments, and adoption dashboards.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred; strong writing skills in English required.
