POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under general direction, this position plays a key role in assisting the Director of Credit Risk in the buildout and monitoring of credit risk models in support of CECL, CRE stress testing and management of concentration risk. Incumbent is expected to display professional maturity, judgment and experience. Strong analytical skills and an ability to effectively manage multiple complex tasks is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain and enhance the Bank’s CECL credit reserve methodology and policy. Monitor and stress the performance of the CECL models, and report results to the appropriate governance committees. Lead in the development of new CECL models, as required, including recommending model factors, evaluating and selecting models and evaluating and adjusting qualitative factors to complement the quantitative calculation.

- Maintain and enhance the Bank’s CRE Stress Testing methodology and policy. Use statistical modeling techniques to identify and assess correlation of internal and external variables to be used in loan stress testing and portfolio analysis.

- Lead Credit Administration’s participation in Risk Management’s capital stress testing exercise.

- Develop and monitor processes for data collection and perform data validation.

- Manage the quarterly analysis and reporting of loan portfolio concentrations.

- Develop policies, procedures and controls for CECL and Stress Testing as required.

- Performs other related duties and functions as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration . Masters degree preferred.

- 10+ years in banking or financial services industry with a minimum of 7 years direct experience in credit and/or risk management.

- Credit certification in Credit/Risk Certification Management a plus but not required.

- A basic understanding of credit modeling, including Probability of Default and Loss Given Default, and their role in forecasting of Expected Loss

- High level of analytical and research expertise with expertise in credit risk analytics and reporting.

- Fluency and experience in a variety of lending disciplines.

- Advanced IT literacy, including report design and production, database design, inquiry capabilities, database mining and interpretation of data and results.

- Excellent interpersonal, team and communication skills (written and oral). Will be interacting with all levels of Bank staff, including senior management, as well as outside consultants, auditors and regulators.

- Knowledge of ASU 2016-13, Measurement of Credit Losses on Financial Instruments (CECL).

- Experience in commercial loan underwriting.

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels usually are moderate.

- The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

Pay Details:

$123,900 - $177,000 annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
