Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire (3+ months)
1 st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT
2 nd Shift: 4pm – 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT
Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking Enclosure Builders to work in our Enclosure department to assist in the building of steel/metal enclosures.
Responsibilities:
- Working as a team to construct steel/metal enclosures (large metal housing units)
- Installing walls, floors, ceilings and roofs
- Mounting louvers, doors and various electrical equipment
Requirements:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and hand/power tools involved in construction
- Able to read measuring devices, such as tape measure
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be highly motivated
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
- Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen
