What Youll Do
As a Lab Technician, you will support accurate specimen processing, handling, and documentation to help ensure reliable laboratory results. Key responsibilities include:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specimen handling, processing, and storage.
- Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory instrumentation operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Prepare solvents and reagents in accordance with established SOPs.
- Perform screening testing using the AU analyzer.
- Validate new AU reagents, calibrators, and quality control materials.
- Set up, prepare, and manage batch plates accurately and efficiently.
- Properly utilize laboratory information systems and laboratory software.
- Complete daily logs, records, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance with all laboratory, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Use required PPE and laboratory equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree Required. If education was completed outside the United States, the credential must be evaluated by a NACES member organization.
- Previous lab experience preferred
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including:
- Stand for long periods of time. Estimate 90% of time is spent standing and 10% spent sitting.
- Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders.
- Frequent standing and walking are required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks, and Planner.
