Exercise Specialist Supervisor

Work Schedule:
Full time position, 40 hours/week. Typical work week will be Monday – Friday, flexible hours between 5:45am-9pm, and some weekend coverage when needed. Hours vary based on operational needs, program schedules, and staffing coverage. This position will work onsite at the Science Drive Medical Center located at 621 Science Dr., Madison, WI.

We are seeking an Exercise Specialist Supervisor to:

- Oversee the daily operation of the center include developing the daily staff schedule
- Evaluate and develop exercise programs for participants who are healthy and at risk
- Work with all other facility departments to work collaboratively within the Fitness Center and other shared spaces
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper exercise guidelines for low, moderate and high risk populations and modify exercise prescriptions due to changes in conditioning, medical status, medications or environmental conditions
- Provide premium customers service to members using the facility

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field Required
- Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years of experience working in a large community/hospital based fitness center Required
- Experience with at risk populations (hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, bariatrics, orthopedic, and/or neurological issues) Required
- Experience working in a team environment Preferred
- Current CPR certification Required
