About this role

Key Responsibilities

- Operational Performance Analysis
- Trend operational data and losses across multiple IT systems to identify areas of inefficiency and develop problem statements.
- Analyze packaging line performance and support root cause identification for operational losses.
- Monitor key manufacturing metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.

Continuous Improvement & Project Support

- Develop and execute improvement plans focused on increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs during the co-op term.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of near-term and long-term improvement plans for packaging lines.

Capital Planning & Business Analysis

- Build business cases for future small-purchase capital projects.
- Evaluate potential projects by analyzing operational impact, costs, and expected savings.
- Assist with project documentation, presentations, and implementation planning.

Required Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Must continue to be enrolled in classes upon the completion of the co-op.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Interest in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior mechanical, industrial, or hands-on technical experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
