Production Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing, planning, and directing Production area materials and personnel to ensure all products are efficiently and effectively built and tested to GSSI standards. This position will share Production planning duties in close cooperation with the Inventory Supervisor and ensure the proper flow of kits throughout the assembly and test functions and subsequent delivery of products consistent with customer requirements. The Production Supervisor will coach and mentor the Production staff, ensure company standards are met, and lead various safety and lean manufacturing efforts within the facility to drive best-in-class operational performance. This position is a full-time, exempt position working out of our Nashua, NH facility.

Responsible for overseeing the efficient processing of the following functions as it relates to the entry and processing of customer and internal orders.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate performance of Production personnel
• Organize material flow to efficiently meet production schedules and product specifications
• Continuously improve processes to increase quality, throughput and improving margins.
• Ensure workforce adheres to manufacturing instructions and product meets quality standards
• Manage work-in-process inventory levels and status
• Oversee pilot/NPI lot schedules (New Product Introductions)
• Monitor production flow and intervene to identify and assist in problem situations involving Manufacturing Engineering as needed
• Assign jobs & tasks to appropriate individuals; provide cross training as needed
• Measure labor standards, product quality, and cost performance
• Participate in discussions relating to company, process, and product improvements
• Communicate schedules, goals, expectations with production personnel and co-workers
• Oversee and/or perform ERP transactions
• Report and monitor KPIs/OKRs
• Continuously improve processes and procedures to maximize productivity, efficiency, and production performance.
• Work closely with all areas of Operations to validate lead times, ship dates, order changes, etc.
• Proactively notify the appropriate people of significant changes impacting order status (e.g., promised ship dates).

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or Supply Chain Management
• Previous experience in supervisory or team leadership role managing 5+ direct reports
• 5+ Years of work experience preferred in supervising work in process (WIP)
• Ability to communicate with internal employees in a professional, accurate and timely manner
• Ability to manage all aspects of Production flow by establishing team expectations and accountability
• Strong training skills in support of assembly personnel
• Exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive.
• Attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude, and team oriented
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
