Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong Business Analysis skills to support data transformation initiatives across Risk, BCBS 239, ESG, Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance and Data Quality .

The role will work closely with business, risk, data and technology teams to understand requirements, analyse data, identify gaps and support delivery of practical data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and document business and data requirements .
- Analyse business processes, data sources and data flows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Perform data analysis and data-quality assessments using SQL/Excel and other analytical tools.
- Define data requirements, business rules, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), controls and acceptance criteria .
- Support data mapping, lineage and process documentation .
- Contribute to BCBS 239 initiatives covering risk data, data quality, lineage, governance and reporting.
- Support ESG and regulatory data initiatives, including data sourcing, mapping, quality and controls.
- Investigate data issues and support root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Participate in stakeholder workshops and clearly communicate analysis and findings.
- Work with Risk, Finance, Compliance, ESG, Data Governance and Technology teams.
- Support UAT, solution validation and project documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6-7 years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Governance, Risk Data or related areas.
- Good business analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills .
- Experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, data mapping and data quality.
- Good SQL and Excel skills; Power BI is desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear data requirements.
- Banking / Financial Services experience preferred.
- Exposure to BCBS 239, Risk, Regulatory Reporting or ESG is an advantage.
